The warm, vibrant atmosphere immediately puts a smile on your face and celebrates authentic African culture beautifully. The food was outstanding - we loved experiencing traditional South African flavors in such a welcoming setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our evening truly special. The live music and energetic ambiance create a perfect blend of dining and entertainment. This is exactly what Cape Town is about - great food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable memories. • Great ambiance with a great African band, decor and food! They took us 15 minutes before closing and we did not feel rushed! Staff was super sweet and informative of the dishes we were trying and we got our faces painted!

  • The restaurant serves pan-African fare with live music and has a very touristy feel. The decor reflects the African heritage with cartoons and humor. The menu offers several exotic options, including game and crocodile dishes. We ordered the Moroccan lamb tagline and the Malay chicken curry. The lamb was tender and succulent while the chicken was okay though a tad chewy. The servers were very friendly and efficient and overall we had a positive experience.

  • We've been here for Christmas Eve and had the Christmas Menue. Besides traditional hand wash and face painting, be had a great stay here with good food and nice music. Sometimes we needed to interact with the band and had to join some dances or musician sessions! It was a nice experience and we had a lot of fun. The food was a delight. I had the meat Plate with crocodile, zebra and kudu. Never tried it before, but I will definitely eat it again, because it taste great! We also had bottomless wine, and the red wine is pretty delicious. A bit heavy, but great in taste!

  • Mama Africa - well known for multiple reasons! We did not have a reservation but the very friendly and attentive waitress organized a table in a full restaurant. First positiv impression. The wine was decent. We ordered a Springbok carpaccio for starters. It was very well. As main course we had a vegan stew and Malay chicken. Both dishes were great. On top, live music. Overall we had a pleasant evening here.
